Environmental value System

What kind of person are you?
Ecocentric, Anthropocentric or Technocentric?

Econcentric is someone who gives value to all living organisms and their environment, even if they have no values to humans. Therey are people who places a value on nature. A disadvantage of being a ecocentric person is that it adds value to an individual due to the benefit that the situation provides.

Anthropocentric people are those who place importance on humans and think that they are the ones who control the amount of resource use.

Technocentric is a person who can be up-to-date with technology and find solutions to environmental problems. Usually people who consider themselves technocentric understand the natural process in a way that they can control it. In preparation for the laws, they focus attention on scientific knowledge. Technocentric people consider markets and economic growth important.

These are three types of environmental value system: this is to see how a person considers nature. This can be influenced mainly by culture, economics and socio-political context.

Environmental value systems have inputs and outputs.
The inputs include: education, religion and media. Instead factors which are considered outputs are: perspectives, beliefs, action etc.

In some occasions, due to the different opinions, ecosystems can lead to conflicts, for example, whaling and hunting areas.
